About Montenegro
The Republic of Montenegro is located in the South west park of Balkan on the seashores of Adriatic Sea. It cover surface of almost 14 thousands km2 and has population of of about 700 000.
The largest place in Montenegro is Podgorica. The capital of Montenegro is Cetinje , that is traditionally heart of Montenegro’s culture and history.
The highest peak in Montenegro is 2525 m high Bobotov Kuk at Durmitor mountain.
The largest Montenegro’s lake is Lake Skadar (Skadarsko Jezero) - the lake that Montenegro is sharing with Albania. It covers the area of 391 km2.
Montenegro has four National Parks : Durmitor, Lovcen, Biogradska Gora and Skadar Lake. Each of these parks represent unique natural beauties of this part of Balkans.
Montenegro has two UNESCO protected areas : Old City of Kotor and Durmitor Mountain and Tara River.
